International Women’s Day

Surprising, though it may seem, on this day set aside to recognise the role and contribution women make to society, I want to draw your attention to a man, one Arunachalam Muruganantham

Some men aim to capture a woman’s affection by giving her flowers or chocolates.

Arunachalam Muruganantham does so by giving women sanitary pads – cheap ones !

A school dropout from a poor family in southern India has revolutionised menstrual health for rural women in developing countries by inventing a simple machine they can use to make cheap sanitary pads.
